An article posted recently by National Hog Farmer asked, "Does good pellet quality enhance finishing pig performance?"
The study and article determined that good quality pellet feed without proper management does not enhance growth rate, and poor pellet quality without proper feeder management can "impair finishing pig feed conversion."
The bottom line of the article and referenced study is that feeder management is the biggest determiner for a hog's growth rate.
